There are countless networking apps for humans and there are dozens of online puppy-playdate communities, but what if there only needed to be one digital space for both?
BarkBuds is a mobile application designed to connect dogs and their humans with like-minded pairs in their communities. Surveys and in-depth interviews conducted with dedicated dog owners revealed that adult dog owners lack a space to connect with like-minded fellow dog parents. Many feel that it’s difficult to make friends at this stage in their lives, and they would feel most comfortable doing so when they’ve established a shared common interest. Interviewees added that the presence of animals as a buffer is beneficial. BarkBuds employs a matchmaking algorithm that takes into account the compatibility factors of both humans and dogs. Let your dog lead the way to new friendships and unforgettable memories!
