It’s Personal
Identity is exclusively individual. It is not linear. It is a process of independent exploration and a slow discovery. It is shaped by one’s experiences and through those experiences one’s identity is molded into the individual one seeks to become. One cannot run from it. One must face it. After all, if one doesn’t know who one is, who will? It’s Personal approaches the subject of identity from a wholly idiosyncratic and spiritual perspective. My experiences growing up as a Seventh Day Adventist are expressed in six letterpress printed poems with hand-drawn typography. The poems are deeply personal, expressions of lived experiences that have shaped my identity. How have your experiences shaped yours?
