City Paws
Offering aid to other fellow humans seems more straightforward but not many would offer the same helping hand towards stray cats. To many animal lovers, however, the fact that Chicago has a high number of straight cats that roam freely in the urban city is concerning. Stray cats and community members have mixed ideologies on how to perceive them. However, not everyone has to be an animal lover to be able to use this app, just a person willing to offer a helping hand. This project aims to develop an innovative mobile application designed to enhance the well-being of stray cats in urban environments. The app known as City Paws will save urban cities by reducing unwanted encounters between stray cats and people, keeping both sides safe. Cities and residents can both claim responsibility for the many communities. The app will serve as a comprehensive platform to address various aspects of stray cat care, including reporting sightings, connecting with rescue organizations, providing essential information about stray cats, promoting adoption, and educating the community about responsible pet ownership. Bringing members of the community together, disregarding the different ideologies, and building a stronger and charming neighborhood for themselves and the stray cats that, in many ways, offer help to these neighborhoods by reducing the challenges they face.
