Since adolescence, I've been drawn to footwear, often observing the latest sneakers and fashion trends while observing the attire of those around me. Footwear is a physical biopic of a person's lifestyle and the world they interact with. From Jordans to Doc Martens, Birkenstocks to Raf Simons, you'll encounter diverse footwear worn by people in their daily lives. After Interviewing Chicago youth, the findings revealed an issue relating to winter footwear that impacts their experiences in the city. Chicago winters play little to no role in determining the choice of kicks people wear. Salted roads, Muddy yards, unshoveled walkways, & slush are determining factors in speeding up the process of wear and tear that your favorite shoes could get during a Chicago winter. This footwear outsole is designed to shield against Chicago's rough winters.
