A sense of overstimulation can be extremely uncomforting and overwhelming. My goal is to create a product that offers customization of personal space within furniture. Constructed from soft felt panels and plush sofa cushions, Sank offers a cocoon-like embrace for its young users. It has a low profile stance, keeping the user close to the ground. The fusion of these materials not only ensures durability and coziness but also encourages tactile exploration, inviting little hands to feel and touch. Inspired by the elegance of origami, Sank seamlessly blends form and function into a delightful, yet soothing experience for the youth. When unfolded, these flaps create a sense of enclosure, shielding children from excessive sensory input and providing a safe haven. Sank isn't just a chair, it's a sanctuary– a sanctuary where children can retreat, recharge, and embrace the serenity of the moment.
