This problem is exacerbated by a rising trend of euthanasia rates, as evidenced by the 16% increase observed at Chicago Animal Care and Control in 2024. This situation highlights an urgent need for increased efforts to save, rescue, and adopt cats in Illinois. To combat this crisis and improve the chances of these cats matching with a perfect family and environment.
This project, in the form of an app, streamlines the cat adoption process faster and more efficiently allowing potential adopters to better connect with adoptable cats.
