Through Her Eyes
750,000 women are affected by Multiple Sclerosis in the United States.

MS has had profound effects on my mother, and myself as her son. Though I am not living with MS, I wanted to visualize both the factual and the emotional and emphasize the rawness behind having a loved one who lives with the disease.

I chose to use the narrative to engage my audience, and I conducted several in-depth interviews with my mother. The story is a first-person account about how my mother deals with this disease and how I interpret that using my own lived experience being around MS. Through these pieces I hope to show that there is resilience, peace, and beauty even in the darkest corners of our lives.

I intend for this to be very thought provoking towards people who are using empathy in design to help represent those who they’re working with.
