States of Flow
Through my time in university, I've been constantly trying to decide between structure and comfort. What is preferable in "good design"? What is more important in life?
The truth is neither, and both simultaneously. Without structure, comfort can't exist. Without comfort, what's the point of structure?
With States of Flow, I wanted to communicate this symbiotic relationship in function becoming form. Your structure can be assembled to whatever it’s environment calls for, but it needs the cushion – the comfort – to tie together and solidify it's presence. One is not justified without the other. Neither can thrive without its partner.
